Does anyone have a series 1/2 12v cdi/rectifier mount handy they could get the measurements off for me? I'm going to try and make one out of some ally plate I found at work.
Thanks.

OK 6 holes
Get the distance between the 2 on the frame and its easy, I have mine over and under, also the holes are 1 up one down so mine sits at a slight angle. who cares.see this one

OK, Take a section of 4 x 2. cut it 5" x 8". Offer to the original coil mounting point. Braddal 2 x mounting points mid section on the short side.
Offer CDi unit and Reg box to upper surface, with connector blocks @ 3 and 9 o'clock positions to direction of travel respectivley. Braddal mounting pilot holes. With 6 x 5 x 25mm wood screws firstly attatch the two units to the mount. Then plug-in the earth wire to the regulator and extend the ring terminal to the mounting point. Firstly attatch the the rearmost frame mounting point with wood screw nr.5, trapping the regulator earth terminal and CDI secondary earth to a bared section of frame. Secure wood screw nr. 6 to the final forward mounting point, Voila, plug in yr HT lead, stator and loom wires and job done.
NB, I'd always spray the whole assembly with expanding insulation foam to give water a hard time messing-up my electrics (optional)
Hope this helps!
