PX front hub D washer

Am putting one of these on my mk1 px

problem is when I put shim washer on, then new disc hub, d washer then circlip I can't even see the groove that the circlip goes onto on front axle.

Have tried it without shim washer but its still to thick.

I can get circlip on to fit by replacing D washer with a thinner normal washer.

Want to know if its important that D washer is there or would a normal round washer be okay to replace it.

I had similar issues with a ScootRS disc. I had to get the hub machined to make it fit.
