Hi all,
Looking at either the franspeed 3 or the race pipe for a new engine, TS1, yam reeds, TMX35, cyclone 5. I have looked at the various articles such as the scootering shootout but wanted 'real' feedback of the rideability of the two.
Having the 5 speed will help if the race loses the bottom end torque etc,......
Thoughts please.
Exhaust recommendation/ comparison

Wouldn't bother with either now that the super tourer is out!!
I've had both , and prefer the new ST, gets onto the revs earlier and hols onto the power right through the rev band . I'll pop a dyno graph up to show

This graph shows my ts1 with franspeed 3 tour pipe 30mm dellorto flatslide and top end has low comp head and cast liner with very conservative tuning work, (very well done by DS
) against a stock ts1 with 30mm phbh dellorto and new ST pipe.
Real world driving on the road with mine now fitted with ST pipe is it picks up very quickly through the gears but is happy tootling around in 4th at 30mph, although when you open it up in 4th as soon as it hits 4.5/5k revs it takes off and happily goes to 7k and tops out at 7.5k this is on an indian gp 200 box 19/46 sprockets , perhaps could go to 4.6 but this set up suits my driving .

Have a read of this too:

The Supertourer was designed as an improved replacement for the JL3, I believe.
