its been a long time since any new development on the vespa t5 engine, no barral kits, exhausts, cranks, clutches, carbs etc etc.
so is anybody doing anything new anywhere that us t5 riders need to know about. Even new porting techniques? pics prices contacts etc appreciated.

What would you like to see? Long stroke crank?
It would be good to see standard heads being remade as they are getting really rare, gone are the days of picking them up for a fiver at parts fairs.

I think there's quite a lot innovation being done out there but i presume your talking about "out of the box"and bolt together. I like the side of scootering where lads are doing the R&D themselves which i find refreshing. A lot of the racers are one man band outfits using their ingenuity and tight budgets to make fast competitive scooters. It's these innovative ideas that the big companies develop.

There's lots of innovative ideas out there for a T5 without having to wait for someone to do it for you, look at the Germans !! get to some race meetings and see what can be done without using the plug and play stuff.

Is this the engine where you used the offset crank and turned a standard crank into a long stroke ? Quite an innovative idea.

Put an Avanti barrel on and keep up with the big boys

Seriously though there was a set of casings on e-bay modified to take a lambretta barrel (TS1 i think).....don't think there's a Vespa running an Avanti at the moment...avanti barrel, long stroke, reed valve, running nitrous....

Fast Tony's putting a kawasaki barrel on his GP....is that what you mean? if it's being on a lambretta shouldn't be that much more difficult on a vespa..
