I'm fitting the disc hub to my forks and it looks straightforward enough except I'm not sure where the oil seals go. Ive got two, one is an O ring about 30mm in diameter and the other is a double lipped affair about 20mm in diameter

What order does everything go onto the axle?

It's similar to a genuine Piaggio disc so the small seal sits on the axle after a shim. The large O ring then goes on and is rolled back over the link, the caliper carrier is fitted, shim with internal flat and circlip to hold on,then the large ring is rolled back to sit in the join between the carrier and link.

So if I've understood correctly...

First the shim goes on

Then the small seal which sits just inside the carrier on top of the bearing

Then the big O ring

Then the carrier. The O ring sits in the groove that is created between the carrier and the back of the link. This is the bit that confused me. It just doesn't seem very effective as a seal but I guess the inner one keeps the grease in, the big O ring just helps keep the dirt out.

Then the shim with the flat side in the middle

Then the circlip holds it all in place.

Then the main bit of the hub goes over that.

Cheers

That worked. All together except for one minor niggle. The castellated nut isn't tall enough. The split pin doesn't hold it properly. I'll have to get another one.

Edit.....

Just had a look on ebay. Does the front nut not fit because its supposed to be a normal nut with a locking cover over the top?

Thats right but make sure you get the locking cover for the front nut 22mm I think as the rear one is 24mm.
