Disabling autolube
pull the pipe off and put some 2 stroke in the petrol tank......
i usually pull the box off, pull the oil pump shaft out, and fill the hole with some black mastic, or builders adhesive, something like that. you can remove the pump totally if you like. if you want to go back to autolube, just cap off the oil feed tube, and mix in the tank as normal. put an "X" in marker pen or tape, on top of your petrol tank to remind you to put oil in the tank until you get used to doing it 2nd nature.

no. you could remove carb and use a sealant between it and the box for piece of mind, but its not really needed. done loads by just blocking the pipe and mixing in the tank. dont like autolubes me.
youve already blanked the pump off, so shouldnt be drawing air from anywhere.
Disconnect the pump mechanical drive (so it does not seize)
and
Block the oil delivery passage to the carb (so that it does not draw air.)
