Yes and No...
Yes, but you need to modify the spring strength... the standard Yamaha shock is 400lbs, Lammy needs 225lbs max.
And you need to press out the bushes on the R1, and fit new bushes to fit the lammy mounts.
And No... if the gas reservoir is at 90deg to shock body like this....

does anyone know of a good base setting for the two screw adjusters and which does what.
also could these be used on a S1/S2.

Here you go on what does what... remember that the shock is mounted upside down from how it would be on a Yamaha.
You need to adjust yourself to see what you like and what your riding style is.
A series 1/2 shock is 315mm long, this is 300mm long. You can fit it, and it would work, but most sources would recommend the longer shock..... Others may have different opinions of course...

So I should be able to turn both screws to poss A (no pre-load to any) for the softest setting, then adj each to set stiffer settings.
am thinking of putting it on a S2 with rally gear so will hopefully adjust to suit.
It already has a low-cut small seat so this should make it look even lower hmmm, will have a play an see.
