Go to a hardware shop and get a long 6mm bolt and cut it to size. Or buy a lentgh of 6mm threaded rod and cut as many as you want.
That's not going anywhere...
as above make sure you clean the threads out and use a flat bottom tap make the studs approx 5mm longer and use a 6mm nylok full nut and flat washerdirtyhandslopez wrote:Go to a hardware shop and get a long 6mm bolt and cut it to size. or if you haven't got a tap, cut some grooves [to collect any debris] lengthways on a 6mm bolt and wind this in. this is kinder on the alloy thread as well, they can only take so many retappings. [tip from Angry Bloke]shocky wrote:... clean the threads out and use a flat bottom tap ...

Lads, the only tap iv ever used is either in the sink or behind the bar...
So i think ill give that a swerve...The other issue is that the engines being rebuilt oil and all so i want to try and keep it as easy as possible.
