My other lammy 86 built street racer

Well here is my other lammy .built it in 86 on dole money took over a year to save money for bits .
Engine is a 185 stage 5 taffspeed with atac power valve
Beedspeed drops , quick action throttle
Taffspeed rear set brakes
Shortened headset to match the vega legshields
Mickek exhaust
Already cut down frame when I got it so removed the loop and made the frame to suit
Fibreglass back end and star stream tank if I remember correctly .
It's sat idle for a good few years but hopefully get some love when I have some spare time .

Not quite as hi tec as yours looks in the avatar , but I used to race and scare quite a fee bikes around with my chin on the headset and front end about a foot in the air at traffic lights

Hi
As ric speed mentioned they were popular in the mid 80s .
It's a adjustable valve that was welded to the u bend and help acceleration through the rev range depending on where you had a screw on top adjusted .
Taffspeed built motor in 86 and were something they were using at the time on some engines .
