Has anyone ever ever buult a long stroke t5 motor? Im currently running a standard set of cases with a 172 kit bolted on jl rh exhaust, std crank 28 mil delly open, slightly lightened flywheel and a 21t cosa clutch, ive gotta do the cruciform over winter so wanted to do a few changes , i was thinking lingstroke and preferably i want it to pull a 22t clutch gor touring reasons . Would a reed valve help with pullng power

Are you thinking of using an off-set pin or different crank?
I have fitted a P2 crank (57 stroke) into T5 casings but it takes a bit of work.

This http://www.lambretta-teile.de/Conversio ... o-Vespa-T5 kit from LTH should help take some of the work out of the job.

My 172 malossi reed puls 22/68 nicely, with a standard exhaust. Would think more torque needed with the expansion to pull that gearing though.

P2 crank would be ideal, what is involved in fitting it and what differance in power will it give will it bring the power in lower with a bit more grunt and would you advise packing the barrel or head, would the kit listed above use the 200 rod on t5 crank and would going reed valve be advisable
