Hi All am having a ral mare with setting up my PX125 Disc with a new aluminium Pinasco 177 kit. Really need some tips. I have a 24/24 Spaco carb and went thorugh some jetting options. The scoot seems to be running really ropey but having changed the 116 main for a 118 there is some definite improvement. However am now sorting out an air issue (or more likely I managed to bend the slider arm cause I'm stupid like that) question is what now. Do I need to change the timing? Whats the best jet set up? Do I need to change the emulsifier tube. I am running a B8 plug that is showing lean one minute rich the next......so what is the best way to sort out the mixture? Driving me friggin crazy.....all comments suggestions gratefully received!!!!

I fitted the same kit about 3 months ago.
Have you left the engine casings standard or are they ported to match the kit?
My casings are ported etc but my settings are -

Air corrector jet - 160
Mixer tube - BE3
Main jet - 121
Idle jet - 55-160
Engine timing - 18 degrees
Spark plug - B7 unless i'm doing long distance then change it to a B8
Exhaust - JL right hander

Had no issues so far and pulls really well.
Done a few longish runs at 60 mph with no problems.
Hope this helps.

Hey ACKO

Thanks for that some useful info there and not far short of what I'm trying to do. To be honest no I didn't port the casings they are standard its mainly because I thought this would be an out of the biox kit but not alot has changed and they never are! Anyway the latest is this - The scoot is running OKish still needs some fine tuning but for some odd reason she is revving quite high at idle and despite my checking etc there is no air leak that I can find. The idle screw has no effect whatsoever!!! I am running a BE8 main jet is a 118 at the moment (120 may be better but when I tried it recently it was boggier using it). Have ordered a BE3 but I would imagine that is what in in the spaco carb (200/24mm) already.

Any more tips???
