I dug this out of the garage as was keen to see what it sits at on a good road so got the gps out and wound it to the max revs which i was happy to sit at on a motorway/duel carrageway so went up the road and back.

Now i didnt scrimp on quality when i built the motor but didnt buy things i didnt need and didnt go for the "ultimate" kits on the market, its only 130cc but 69mph aint bad as a cruising speed. On the way back i nailed it in 4th but it didnt rev out as good as it can do which was a shame but still 77mph.This motor cost me less than 1k to build and apart from a few teething troubles which was my fault, its been reliable and it runs on good ol Groundsman. :D

Whats the engine?

I tuned Mrs Balls smallframe in secret for her, but then she got pregnant so has only ridden it twice!

I lent it to a mate to ride the other week and he was quite surprised how fast it was - it beat quite a few of my other mates

That is just a polini 130 with 18mm carb and standard exhaust. I did get some fat fingers up the barrel first though

Not fat fingers in the exhaust port though? It a slightly ported Parmakit with 28phbh,hammerzombie mk1 and std electronic ign. The Polini is a good kit,a mate uses one and its very reliable and it flies. You done the inlet timing on the crank? Change carb to a 25.
