EGT probe location?

I'm just finishing up building a TS1 humiliator 225 motor to go into my ser. 1. I've got an older JL 3 (I think! maybe a JL4?) And I'm going to be hooking up my Westach EGT to it. Can't remember what the location is for the probe. 6 inches from the port?? The probe is the clamp on type. Any info appreciated. Thanks

It needs to be 4 inches measured from the side of the piston with the tip of the prom in half way across the pipe (mid stream)
