Yes, please, I'm all ears. Really, though, I think I would go for the simplest to fit and set up solution, that being Agusto as far as I know.

Ones a very hard to play golf course.... .....sorry Mark, couldn't resist. The one that begins with A works for me, but isn't it better to get it set up on a dyno?

Here's one difference between them:

Agusto has a fixed degree shift, matched to the rpm. Hence them being named 6000/8000.

The M tech has 16 points of adjustability per revs, and also the amount of degree shift.
I have one fitted up, but not yet kicked over. I will say it came with nice instructions and a clear graph that showed off the degree shift per rev, across the 16 position range, in other words, smart and simple.

The readspeed one has a retard setting too so can help in an emergency situation like s**t fuel or air leak.

But do they cause possible damage to the engine if they suddenly pack up?

possibly as you will fail in an advanced setting of 20-25 degrees depending on set up

Looks like the Readspeed CDI takes care of this (looking at their graphs) by setting the static timing as normal and having the timing advance from 0-3500rpm and then retard back to the static timing setting as revs rise.
