I'll start again....
Just bought one of these:

Does it fit in place of the gearbox oil filler plug , then top up oil via the breather so that the oil is just showing in the sight glass.
Surely that makes sense now Paul???
Have a couple of glasses of wine to help...
If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....

I use the breather hole to fill the crankcase. With the scooter level and the centre hole plug removed you fill with oil until it starts leaking from the centre hole. The plug with the window is the cente one of the 3, but with scooter level you shouldn't actually see any oil. If you can see oil when level then it's over-filled surely (no don't call me Shirley jokes please). Off the stand and tilt scooter slightly towards you then the oil should come into view. Then again I do know feck all.
