Hi
I have a new (600m) Sil 200 , running in atm.. when revs in 1/2/3 reach a certain level (approx 3 quarter throttle) it "jumps" to a higher range.. the speed does not change during this.. just the revs.. all other times its fine. no creep or slipping..Carb is a brand new 25 Del so surely not faulty..
Also .. what can I reasonably expect from this once fully run in /jetted .. cruising speed
(25del-Scootrs pipe)
Thanks
Slipping clutch..?

if the engine speed increases but the road speed remains the same, then you have a slipping clutch.
Possible reasons:-
1) Clutch cable too tight (needs about 1-2mm gap at the clutch leaver) or possibly frayed.
2) Clutch springs weak/ bent/ broken
3) Clutch plates worn
Try adjusting the cable first.

you wont be able to hold top for very long though unless its well run in (3k+ and running rich in cool weather )

some indian scoots have weak springs and crap plates try some springs from readspeed plates well take your choice make sure they dont measure more than 14mm when all stacked ontop of each other also check that the crown wheel doesnt rock to much and that the clutch spider doesnt protrude through the crownwheel more than 0.1 mm ,a rocking crown wheel lets the corks move and friction is generated and this can cause the clutch to heat up and drag
