stripped carb and cleaned and blew out... still same.. changed plug a few times still same (though spark always apears good)
changed cap still good spark, won't start..does fire but won't run ... soles of both feet are sore from kicking it over all morning :x

Could be it's a bit rich on the pilot and or the choke isn't closing off fully? (Make sure you have some slack in the choke cable) Mine doesn't always want the choke from cold. The only other thing I can think of seeing as you have a good spark is that the timming has slipped (woodruff key?)

Good luck

Sounds like your choke isn't working, can you see your choke plunger moving up and down when you operate the cable? Could try getting someone to put their hand over the mouth of the carb whilst you kick it, see if it tries to start then.

In what way? How did the stator effect warm starting?
