Newly aquired 1960 British scoot, pic in the hey day with side car. Been in the same family from day one, last on the road in 83 and been hidden away in garage ever since. Been hand painted at some stage which has stopped it rotting away so all the pannels are solid. I am in the process of removing the hand paint to leave the original then preserving with ACF50 or smilar, but what a nightmare.

What a beauty. That looks like a good, solid basis for your rustoration. How did you get your hands on it?

Fleebay, been after the right one for about a year.
Love it....
Better to keep quiet and be thought of as a D!ck Head, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Thx for comments.
A few more pics of work in process. The headset and horncasting are the only two things not to have been painted and I think have come up pretty good with a little G3 cutting paste.
The paint removal continues, some pannels a little far gone so unsure what to do. Any one got any pics of a rusteration with some original paint along with new looking resprayed pannels. This will help deciding in what to do.

That`s amazing, love the history too. Maybe you can get a painter that can match and blow in the areas needed instead of doing the whole panel, then weather it a bit to blend in. That`s the way to go.
