Can anyone tell me what temperature the exterior of a lambretta alloy cylinder can reach? Im thinking particularly of the body of the cylinder not so much the fins.

I don't know the answer but I dfo know that the temp will vary depending where you measure it. It will obviously be hotter around the exhaust and at the top of the cylinder.

Hi,anywhere from 180-230 degrees c at the spark plug at constant speeds depending on engine set up, a piston will seize at anything over 250 degrees c ,hope this helps.
