Nord-Lock washers
Just bought a load of nord-lock washers for my wheel rims (split rims-tubes -slime) got them from here http://www.grampianfasteners.com/ Looking on the web it says to lubricate the thread? and on another video I think they use WD40 or something similar so what are you supposed to do? using them with nylocs for the rims and hubs. Can you just put a bit of copper grease on the threads then wind them in as normal.Never used them before so hoping someone who is could recommend/advise how they use them.Cheers.
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order.

Plain nuts are fine to use, just check the studs are long enough.

Cheers Jason, think I've got it,read that page and been out in the shed and had a play.Bought about 30 washers so had a few to play with spare (only needed 20 really - 3 wheels 2 hubs)tightened them up on a old wheel rim with a very light smear of copper grease, torqued up a treat! went to take them off and you can really feel the biting point so a little squirt of wd40 and they came off.Quite impressed really and at 26 pence each well worth it,Thank you for the link.
