Hi sorry me again, has anyone got a cut up frame that they can measure the wall thickness for me, or does anyone know what guage tube is used in standard frames?

Im building mine in a different style, rather than tube Im using flat sheet, with bored and welded cross tubes, then boxed in top and bottom

my first thought was 5mm, but wondering if that might be overdoing it?

the sample pieces are cut from 3mm and work very well, so do I go with 3mm?? or belt and braces but nearly double the weight??

risk of it resembling a battle ship with the way I do things LOL
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

are italian, spanish and indian all the same? and if so what about quality of the steel? An indian 4mm from reclaimed steel maybe only as string as a spanish 2.5mm ...??? :?

i think in terms of a one off box section frame the standard stuff is irrelevant tbh.
