What the!!! oko carb

Having trouble with my carb (i think) i have a 24 mm pwk/oko and i lose power at full throtle and when on a hill at any throttle if hills to long, when i stall the scoot will fire up first kick and i'm away again ,also have a lot of spit back which is sucked in by the fly wheel and dumped over the barrel so looks like i have a leak some were.Have tried all settings with needle with not much change. Any ideas except buy a decent carb which is my next move.

Been there, done that!
The OKO (or as my mates christened it "The Yoko Nogo") is prone to fuel starvation when running at full throttle. Basically, the scoot sucks it out of the float bowl faster than it flows in. By adjusting the float level you can improve things but if you bend the stop too far it just floods everywhere. You can drill out the inlet a bit but that can end in disaster. I eventually melted off the stop at in the plastic float bowl that was preventing the float from dropping down all the way.
On another subject re OKO, check the choke. The spring on mine was so weak that it didn't close properly. I then set up the carb to what I thought was correct. The float then closed, the mixture went lean and pop went my brand new mugello!
I eventually bought a Mikuni TM24

If you have the clear plastic float bowl, there's a lug in the bottom, a float stop. Remove this by melting off with a soldering iron. If this doesn't work then some drilling may be required
