Has anybody used the boyesen pro series reeds on a lambretta?
Been using standard boyesens for years in my ts1 but after breaking another set was looking at the pro series but at nearly twice the price was wandering what the gains are if any.
Iv'e read what they say on the boyesen site but could do with someone with first hand experience.
Boyesen reeds

The boyesen reeds iv'e been using are the fibreglass dual stage, the pro series are also dual stage but the small petals are carbon fibre with the large petal still fibreglass.
Scooter center sell them but i'm unable to provide a link.

both types are on this link http://www.roostracing.co.uk/boyesen.php
pro and power reeds; both are dual stage reeds; and no I wouldn't know which ones would fit an imola; but someone will im sure,

I haven't compared engines that I've run with the boysen reeds. But I have found the v-force a good deal better than standard reed blocks.
When I was deciding on what reeds to use I did a bit of study on the net, and all the tests I found comparing boysen and v-force had the v-force better by a small amount through the entire rev range. I didn't find any test with the boysen better than v-force. Most of the top motocross bikes used v-force (although that might have to do with sponsorship dollars).

Try using the boyesen dual stage ~ this time with a modified rd350lc block and the stops off ~ search the web for rd reedblock modifications ~ there is information on the modification

v-force don"t last in a ts

^^^ Agreed
I use the CamLam ones with the 350 cage supplied by Diablo some years ago, this beauty was bought on eBay I believe, and it had already been flowed for better response. This now performs better than the V-Force used in the past, the reeds help a lot as does a 3mm packer underneath and the top face skimmed giving the same frame clearance as V-Force.

V-Force are so last year, along with Mikuni
