After what sort of mileage should the cylinder head be retorqued, bearing in mind it's an alloy cylinder?

100-150 miles

I would probably check @ 100 miles then 500 mile intervals if it plays on your mind

It's a feckin niggle when you've taken off the runner boards, bridge piece, head cowl, rear shock etc. to find that they are still torqued up OK

What I've been doing lately is leaving everything off, headcowl, the lot. Bolt exhaust up tight at cylinder and to box(or sprung to chamber), start 'em up and keep an eye on them with a infra red heat gun thingy. Turn 'em of when they are getting good and warm, stick a blower on them to cool them off.
Do that about three times then re-torque and put it all back together. Down the road they go...
Have seen no blowby on any scoots since doing this. Although a re-torque after a year or so won't hurt

100 miles exactly so I did a check and it took a little extra tweak with the torque wrench.
