My 205 kit has just gone through its second set of plates the first set were an old set so didnt think much of it the second set was a new set fitted prior to euro lambretta and they burnt out after about 200 miles.
These were a standard set of four plates the make i did not recognise more than likely indian and standard springs.
I now need to renew and was thinking of machining out my clutch basket to take five plates and fitting some taffspeed springs along with some DR springs for a vespa, i know surflex do different color plates for different applications what would be best advised and are adaige plates better than surflex.
Any advice greatly appreciated, if i had the money i would fit one of the many new all singing and all dancing clutch kits currently on the market but i cant afford to.

No standard SX150 gear box
did you change your steels as well as the corks? if they wear "blued" they will wear out the corks in double quick time. surflex "B", thin top plate, MB springs.
Yes new steels fitted as well, have ordered surflex B plates and MB springs so hopefully that will sort it, thanks for the advice.goldeneye wrote:did you change your steels as well as the corks? if they wear "blued" they will wear out the corks in double quick time. surflex "B", thin top plate, MB springs.
