Just about to undertake an Li 125 engine build, don`t really know the pros/cons
of the above type of barrels, can anyone enlighten me?
Want something that gives me a bit off acceleration (not worried about top speed),
will be riding solo mostly round town. Cheers.

All kits are at least 175 cc so performance would be improved whatever you chose. The advantage with the ally barrels is that they disipate heat better. The Mugellos and Casa barrels hac=ve a nicasyl (ceramic) lining which is very hard wearing. I would suggest that if you are only running around town then a nicasyl kit would be a bit of an overkill, a well sorted SR steel lined ally 175 or 186 would fit the bill.

By 'well sorted" I meant one fettled by a reputable dealer rather than the cheap eBay 'bargains" ;)
