thats just how it came as a kit it came off a running gp a couple of years ago and i bought it for a reasonable price decided to fit it to my new cutdown/street racer there is plenty of airflow to the cylinder head at the moment

I have mine plumbed in as follows

bottom of rad goes to infeed on pump
outfeed of pump goes to cylinder nearest exhaust port or bottom of cylinder
outfeed from top of cylinder goes to top of rad

Thats how mines set up and it works fine :-)
Stay tuned..............
