I bought a Series 2 in bits a short while ago (an unfinished project), which had been stored in the guys garage for over a year. Before it was stored, everything had been sand blasted and the frame/forks were powder coated and the bodywork was grey primered.
Some bits of body work seem to have been sparyed in red oxide before the primer (small bits of the red oxide not covered), but the side panels, legshields, and rear runners seem to have only been sprayed in grey primer and there appears to be small flecks of rust (?) now breaking through the primer (see photos below).
I assume that the bits not sprayed in red oxide, and now showing flecks of rusts, will need re-blasting (or acid dipping etc) before painting. Is this correct?

Thanks,
A
