when i striped the scoot down to change the main oil seal i noticed that there was no head gasket and i didn`t check the squish, i`ve now got all my new parts to start the re build but was wondering if i should put the new head gasket on or leave it off if the squish is correct, and do i check it like when i`m sorting the lammy out, through the plug hole or as i do put plasticine on top of the piston,

no worries gadge! repair and rebuild your engine, put head on as it was without gasket and check the squish, with a cross of plasticine across piston crown or soldier through plug hole, then you,ll know if it needs the gasket or not....
