whats the score on spraying glowble? is it the same as doing metalflake? if so what size nozzle would i need?
i've got an s type that ray kemp painted and the panels weigh a ton, the lacquer must be about 5mm thick!

globle is made by metalflake and is there biggest flake i recall.
my frind paints scooters , and has recently done a few in standard size metalflake, but not globle, i can ask him if you wish as to a recomendation.

I do wonder about Metalflakes marketing strategy. They don't seem to have moved with the times to offer a full paint system, in fact the opposite is true. They used to make various coloured primers, and airbrush size tins of paint, but these have all gone by the wayside. The UK site seems to have nothing on COSHH or application methods. glowble flakes are the biggest ,but all i do is change my needle ...

hopefully giving it a go tomorrow, if we do i'll post pics, just going to do a metallic base as close to the flake as poss then spray the glowble over the top in 2k lacquer like mormal flake, been told a 1.8mm nozzle will be fine, then about 20 million coats of clear over the top of that. we've done normal flake like this before and happy with results so should be ok.

spent some time on it this week, did base in opel blue







bought a load of royal blue glowble flake from metalflake in chessington



mixed with medium solids clear about 80grams per litre
this is after approx 5 passes

well chuffed with the way it looked in the sun



its not as rough as we expected, so just got to give it a million coats of high solids clear then flat and polish it.

Looks good mate well done , start braying plenty clearcoat on now

lacquered the flake, approx 30 coats, just need to flat it and polish it, happy with the results
