Been thinking about my old Mugello 186 V2. It's been run/thrashed for a few years and while the LI is in bits and all over the place. I'm going to strip the engine for a service.

While it's apart, is there anything that could be done to the top end to give it a bit more low down grunt?

Is it worth it?

yes it is worth it, wot port timeings does it run, wot carb and exhaust, is it a standard size crank, there is alot you can do but that depends on wot you've already got. There are some good gains to have for a small amount of work.

if its low down grunt changes that your after ,then a crank change wont make any difference to performance,,
however..you could try widening the exhaust port to the max width ..and a pipe change such as the ADS 1 with gearing to suit ..
