I've managed to put some standard gaitors on "fat" front dampers.

They're about £9 on Ebay.

Simply cut off the inner "lip" top and bottom with a scalpal, and chuck them in a bowl of boiling water.

Its an effort, but you will be able to get them on the dampers with a bit of effort (remove dampers from forks for ease of use)

Hi Chris

Could you take a photo and post up of these pls?

Have 2 pairs of dampers at the moment, neither correct...too thin & too fat.

Fat ones are Armstrong Indian, what make are yours?

Cheers

As requested- the gaitors are so tight on the damper that I can't slide them off!! The dampers are chrome and have "AF" stamped on them- if you want me to measure the diameter at the top please shout.

I have fat Indian dampers and set of BSA Bantam gaitors from eBay for them. Fit is okay without cutting, but I did put jubilee clips to top (don't know if they're necessary).

If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it. Want to see how they compare to the Armstrongs. Thanks.

Rakki, they look a very good fit, thanks for the info.
