I have an escort shocker on a s1 with a 28mm dellorto (imola) that bounces off the rear runner. Is there a shock that can gain me more height therefore stopping the bottom of the carb meeting the runner???? :wtf:

Take the shock off and measure the distance between it's centers, serties 1 and 2 should be 310mm, series 3 are 300mm. That will tell you if you have the right shock but I THINK the S1/2 ones are the longest available.

What are your engine mounts like? if they are worn I think that would have the effect of lowering the engine relative to the frame, not by much though

A series 3 shock is shorter than a series 1/2, and will give you more clearance from carb inlet manifold to frame, especially on a big carb. It may be someone has put a series 3 shock on, for that reason.
A series 1/2 shock will lift the scoot up to correct height, but then may foul the carb/frame

He's talking about the carb hitting the runner on an Imola with carb on the other side not the frame which is the usual problem.....at least that's what I thought he meant
