I'm reposting this for a guy on Paisans.org. I figured you brainiacs will know the answer in your sleep.

I am looking to build up a smallblock engine for my cutdown tv200 :baddevil: , I have a GP150 engine with 200 gears, but need a cylinder. I have some TS1 pips, so would like to be able to use one of them (TS1 flange=imola) as well as the GP crank (as opposed to RB).

Anyone have thoughts, opinions, etc on the newer imolas?
are they as peaky as the originals?
Which head to go with (hi-po vs. standard)?
thanks for any info.

latest spec has doweled head, beter shaped combustion area etc. still as peaky, though you could alter this with choise of exhaust carb and gearing. the ts1 pipes should fit ok, same flange. i think there is a long stroke version that brings the cc nearer to 200cc this may alter the peakiness aswell but a new crank or rod will be needed.
