Should I shim the gudgeon pin when fitting an Imola, read arguments for and against.

Depends on the crank used whether it has shims or not although Mr. Webster once told me not to use any whatever crank I used.The main problem is finding some good enough to use especially in a high revving kit like the Imola,but that's my opinion.

Don't think you should fit an Imola to any crank that doesn't have big-end shims - in which case gudgeon pin shims aren't required.
You can get decent race-type cranks for little more than £100 from the likes of JB tuning or PM - its a false economy to use anything lower spec than that.
