I got a Px125e DR180 top end with a Polini177 head and a Sterling exhaust.
I want to port it al la the Polini177 on the barrel and then the cases.
I'm looking for more revs as the Sterling needs that before it hits the power band
Here's the porting question......
I've seen some pic's of cases porting and it seems to be a widening of the transfer only.
Is there ever a case for widening the transfer down the whole height of the case?
Is it a matter of crankcase compression?
If you widen the case transfer would it be sensible to leave the exhaust port alone or what?
Pic's and results of porting would be most welcome.
