Here's my problem.
I bought a fixing bracket bought had to drill another fixing point on the higher point, but it's too far forward.

The picture doesn't show it very well, but not only is the rubber point too far forward in relation to the tail can bracket. It's too far away.
The exhaust body is almost touching the side casing. So it can't move any more closer.

I really don't know what to do. I can add my JL nylon bush to the tail can bracket, but it will be under strain. Would that hold?

bilko, no pics to hand of mine tonight, but just a thought, is your bracket put together correctly at the front of the chaincase, being out a bit there would exagerate the space at the tail can. must say my Franspeed is probably the carlsberg of exhausts for fitting, absolutely cock on.
This is going to sound really daft but bear with me. Have you pushed the can as far as it will go into the main body of the pipe.
I fitted one recently and the paint prevented this untill I gave it a realy hard shove and twist . This at least brought the hole as far forwards as the rubber bobbin.

Yes indeedy, that looks something like mine, but I have the 3 point fixing bracket from Andy Francis, which I had to drill a new fixing point.
I was worried that the gap was too big with the extra bush. Is yours ok?
