Ive stripped the internal thread while tightening my T5's carb bolts
what are my options?
I see beedspeed so repair studs, do these work? which length/thread do I need, does it need to be tapered like the original bolt or can i just screw one in and tighten with a nut (like a barrel stud)?
do I tap the hole out to M8

any help gratefully received!

A Time Sert would be best but expensive to buy unless you know someone with a kit.I think I repaired a Vespa once by using an M8 to M7 stud in the stripped thread and adding a M7 stud in the good hole and used the sleeved nuts as found on the PX range.
