I got an old in line style one of ebay last year for £5, just plugs in line with the HT lead. No batt required works a treat. Dont remember the name sorry

Martin, I bought a Draper 52616 Xenon off Amazon for about £18. It works fine off a battery.

I`ve used that same Draper one for years but had an RB with AF lightened flywheel in last week and couldn`t get a reading off it when revved  , otherwise it`s been dead on.

Not sure but as the Draper one is the one sold by MB, they should be able to tell you for certain.

I have Varitronic on my Lambretta GP and could not strobe it using the Draper 52616 (part No TL3) Xenon timing light above 1000 rpm. Cambridge Lambretta sell one for £34.95 and whilst it looks similar to the Draper they recommend it for varitronic.
