On Another note: just a quicky, running rich?
If you are running a PHBH check your floats, had 2 floats in one bike filling up with petrol, Geoff Stephens has just phoned me regarding another one of my kits, same problem! so is this due to ethonal in petrol.
Sending 2 back to Dellortos today.

Sorry should point out only one of the double floats in all three cases is leaking not both.

We found the same on mine while dyno testing at Diablo.
Not on a Ron kit

I have had this myself on another setup but checked mine on Saturday and all the float was fine. Scoot wouldn't start at all (it was misfiring badly when i last rode it) and found no spark :wtf: Eventually changed the stator and still no joy, fault eventually traced to a high resistance in one of the connections to the Augusto

X13 back in and the misfire has gone but it boges completely if you open the throttle at 30 mph in 4th, this with the squashed breathing sweet and panel fitted. Not sure yet if I might have damaged the CHT probe while removing the plug several times during the starting problems but the running temp has dropped to around 100 degrees at 60-65mph, exhaust was reading 600 degrees.
One worrying thing was when I had the flywheel off I noticed that there is some oil leaking down from the outer mag oil seal. It's not so bad that everything is coated, just some sticky dripage

Urgent replacement?

While I remember I thought I'd post this whilst working on a bike supplied with a 60mm crank & a 22.5mm wide small end.
Do not use these small ends with the Avanti kit piston if there is no side float on the crankshaft, they are too tight. Only use the standard 20mm.
You must have slide float on the crank or the piston, not both.
And 100% you should never run with no side float on both.
Just read this:
Avanti Fitting Instructions
IMPORTANT READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST
Only to be fitted by a competent person, if ................................
Competent being the operative word, this does not just apply to my kit, it is any kit.
If you have just spent some hard earned cash on a buying a kit are going to go to your local car dealer and ask him to fit it?
You can lead a horse to water .........................
I have a good one that I will write about later, Avanti kit that would only do 55MPH, must be the kit then! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Same kit on my engine using the customers exhaust, just shy of 80 MPH on my speedo down the local Bye Pass in traffic, like I said must be the KIT!

Anyone got any thoughts on what this kit would be like with the Rimini 5 speed?
