That would be the only compaint i had, was that it was a bit thirsty, at no point on the motorway did i have it fully open and i did have it jetted rich in the mid range
if it hadn't loosened off completely before the holland trip it has now

What jetting are you using with the filter on....thinking of putting one on mine...coaster wrote:I managed to go over the 1000 mile running in period on the way back from Belgium but due to a leaking exhaust didn't feel inclined to open it up beyonf 45mph. I finally got round to fixing the leak at the weekend and rode it down to the Felixstowe coaster's bash on Saturday which was about 50 miles, 30 of them dual carriageway. It was quite windy again but I had not trouble holding 60 mph uphill into the windThe CHT was stable at 175 degrees even on the stretches where I took it up to 65 mph overtaking. It was only ever on part throttle (apart from the uphill into the wind bit) and would have gone a LOT faster but as I haven't done any plug chops at WOT I didn't want to chance it. I was also aware that it is still running a BE7 or BE8 plug so probably not suited to thrashing

Also, having chatted to Ron and looked at Adam's installation I decided to have a go at fitting my Breathing Sweet filter. My problem was that Camlam sold me an elbow that was too big for the PHBH and I could never get it to stay on. Adam's use of plumbing fittings gave me a clue though and I used a 1/2" section of plastic pipe whyich was a tight fit in the hose but a loose fit on the carb. I wrapped some PTFE tape round the thread on the carb and glued the plastic pipe on using plastic metal. When it had gone off I was able to unscrew the pipe from the carb and peel off the PTFE tape and screw it back on and attach the hose. The panel (jet 200) was a bit of a job to get on but it survived the 100 mile round trip ok.
