G'day team.
may I ask the people running this kit post their carb set ups in the Carb set up Section of this forum when they have time please. I'm currently running a VHSH and wish to change to a PHBH, 34 pages is a bit long in the tooth for the info I'm after.
thanks.

Currently running mine on 30phbh, ram air filter, 50 pilot, 125 main, av266 with x7 on clip 2, 70 choke jet, 350 float valve.
Mine seems very rich low down even on a 50 pilot

Mine has a 30 PHBH and a JL3 and I'm following Ron's recommendations of 55 pilot, 40 slide, Av266, X7 needle (2nd clip) 125 main and 300 float valve. Open carb. Runs quite clean, not much spit back but I might go up a size on the pilot and probably the main when I've got enough miles on it to give it some stick in topmikeallen wrote:Agreed, some phbh carb settings would be niceCANbus wrote:G'day team.

Good Morning all
I have a customers bike in today to carry out some jetting on a 30 PHBH, will be trying a range of different needles to achieve a smoother delivery through the range if possible. It will take a while so hope to post findings by Friday. He is running a NK Road /Rally pipe
Canbus: Just fitted a stock kit to my bike at long last running a 30 VHSH with DP 262 atomiser, K98 needle top notch, 125 main, 60 pilot, 300 float needle jet. only done 30 miles though, needs some more time on it, again hope to give a bit more feed back by the weekend Running a Franspeed Race pipe but just getting it ready to test the new Clubmans.

Anyone else running a CHT on their Avanti? I'm now in the 50-55 mph stage of the running process and the temp is sitting at 175 degrees at a sustained run at that speed. I took the sensor out from under the plug and dipped into a kettle of boiling water and it read bang on 100 degrees so I'm fairly confident that it's reasonably accurate. Just wondering what readings others are seeing?
Cheers

Do you have the sensor under the plug and have you ever tested it with a known teperature i.e. boiling water? The same gauge was reading 210 on my previous ally 225 setup.rbgaz wrote:mmm-my-rb-runs-cooler-coaster wrote:Anyone else running a CHT on their Avanti?
