I've got nearly 200 miles on mine so far and I'm really pleased with it. As others have said it gets better as the miles increase. I'm still in the 45 mph running period but it is really difficult keeping it down to that speed. Luckily my clutch starts to slip at about 50 mph
I was planning on putting a 5 plate clutch in today but the springs that MB dispatched on Wednesday still haven't arrived so that's me buggered, won't get an oportunity to strip it again for a week or so
Anyway, off out now to put a few more miles in

IMHO a) This is the only fault I've heard about so far, and b) The way in which it was handled by Ron must be a huge positive!
I was expecting a flood of rave reviews from at least some owners of the 100+ kits that must be run in by now.....
Cue tumbleweed......

I don't get scootering. What was the hiccup?

A small reaction between a porous barrel and the chrome plating with the result of the chrome wearing off a bit. Ron et al have the problem in hand and will get it sorted, hopefully it was a one off.

Mine's still being used daily and is running well. Sadly, because it is being used daily I've not actually messed around with it as much as I'd have like to (trying out various configurations). Thankfully, it's doing exactly what it says on the tin so leaving it alone is probably doing me a favour

Well, got past the 200 mile mark this afternoon so pushed it up to 50-55mph and my god what a difference. I thought it was torquey at 45 but 50-55 is where the power starts to kick in with my 4.7:1 JL3 set up. After about 20 miles on B roads going up to 55 mph for prolonged spells my clutch started showing signs of distress, I always knew that my 4 plate setup would need upgrading
