BGM dampers, they caused the only problem mounting the anti dive bolt on fork bracket. Whoever welded the top damper mounting on, didnt position it properly which left the damper a fraction too close to the antidive bolt on bracket (it wouldn't fit  ). If I had used the weld on bracket it would have been fine and I shall most likely do this at a later date. As it was I had to modify how the damper was mounted slightly.

I think the socket heads are a good idea Andy, I'm not sure of the tensile strength of the "shiny" suplied Item (and it is barely long enough).
Having said that I've not read any posts or heard of failures of the original bolt.

The damper bolts ./ studs have a fairly easy life really as the 'shock' load is cushioned through rubber bushes and of course the damper only exerts part of the suspension load so high tensile is probably not essential anyway.

Slight misunderstanding there, the bolts I was talking about were the ones holding the rose joints on the brake antidive kit. As it is "brakes" can't afford anything to break, but as I said haven't heard of any breaking anyway.
You're quite right about the damper bolts, fairly light loads I would guess.

Quite right Minority, my bad
