Mugello stub finally arrived.
The pipe now fits straight, everything is alligned, i've only lose some time to fit the muffler without let it to touch my LI3 side panel handle.
Started the old girl the sound was awesome, no more no less louder than my Ancillotti.
I've upjetted the pilot and lowered the clip on the needle.
First impressions are wonderful. I had never tought that a pipe could improve the low and mid pulling power of a clubman style exhaust.
I mean the ADS3, pulls like a train since when you turn the throttle to about 7.500 rpm.
It doesn't pull more than my Ancillotti, the powerband is the same but is more fatty, more grunty, sometimes feels like my 30bhp TS1, but it stops pulling early.
I've a tame Mugello 200 with a TM24, with sx200 15x46 gearbox, and with the Ancillotti it clocked 65 mph, now i think that 65-70mph are easy to hit, also upwind or uphill.
I'll never look back to box pipes!
Adspeed exhausts are shocking......

Not in the near future I wouldn't think but its a nice idea. Having said that I wouldn't expect the rally/tourer to be able to curl up in the space available to be honest. Certainly the Race would for that wolf in sheeps clothing look.....Bofs wrote:Hey Ads,any plans for a Snail version of the pipes?

I've just built a standard TS1 with transfer timing reduced by 110 Kawasaki rod, and 2mm packer. It's an LI150 box 46/17 giving 4.6 final drive ratio. The engine's not run yet.
The engine was built with an old Taffy Road pipe in mind (which is where the 4.6 ratio came from). I'm not now going to be able to use the Taffy, so would either an ADS3 "high torque touring pipe" or an ADS 5 "fast road pipe" be good with this final drive ratio?

I'd go for the ADS3......I like the way it works its like nothing else on the market to be honest. We have recently completed a test for the mag with a similar sounding engine. ADS3 gave best Torque figures I think, mag should be out soon.storkfoot wrote:I've just built a standard TS1 with transfer timing reduced by 110 Kawasaki rod, and 2mm packer. I ran mine on 4.6 final and it was great, actually running 4.2 at the mo and in my eyes its the perfect torquey set up. Does 70mph at at 5800rpm yet pulls like mad from really low down. Tops out at about 7k.
Adam.
Wish I had one for ya Mr RicSpeed, if a scuffed/used one comes up to be played with your top o my listRICSPEED wrote:when can i have one to test :anbrgin; :anbrgin; :anbrgin; :anbrgin;
