No.107 went out yesterday,
They are a bit spread out, 4 in USA, 2 Germany, 2 Australia,
1 x NZ, 1 South Africa, 1 France but now back in workshop to build!
Engine in from Huddersfield which will be 108.
A couple more engines in to build from customers who have already purchased their kits but now want me to build them.
There are still kits out there that were bought in October and still not on the road!!
On the other hand there are quite a few that are run in but have not given any feed back on any of the forums.

I've 435 miles (700 km) on mine now and have to say that I've not been following the running in instructions for the last few hundred km (AT MY OWN RISK and not recommended!). I'm not sure of the barrel number but I do have it on the info that Ron supplied with the kit and written down in my 'little black book' somewhere.
Oxford to Modrapheniacs was its first long run test. The ride was great, with fantastic weather, good mates and no problems with any of our riding group's 4 scoots. Performance is good but I will at some stage change my 4.6 4th ratio to 4.8 as the revvy clubman (not one of Ron's) behaves in a similar manner to Sticky's 'long gearing vs riding style' comments in Scootering. A change of exhaust is one option, revision of gearing is another. That said, on a straight flat fast (where the motor can be kept in the power) road the 4.6 is fine and suits low revving touring.
Mine is running a remote filter so I've no issues with spit-back and fuel consumption was checked on the way back from Modrapheniacs with mine using only slightly more than a pal's iron Stg. IV 200 with similar exhaust and 28mm carb, but something like 25% less than another mate that was running a SIL factory IV 200 with same 30mm PHBH (no filter) and expansion exhaust. As such, I'm not too sure why there have been so many comments/worries about fuel consumption, especially considering that my motor is 25cc bigger than either of those that I compared to on our run.
As stated earlier, there is still configuration work to be done on my motor but it is serving me nicely for daily commuting and longer trips.
One point that I've noted, which again echos Sticky's comments, is that it will happily cuise at a good touring speed on low throttle openings, which is unlike most tuned piston port motors that I have. This may be one of the reasons why my fuel consumption is pretty good when compared to others that I was riding with... and does get me wondering what would happen if the motor was set up with a smaller carb for better MPG for touring?
Obviously, all of the above is not necessarily in line with what Ron recommends in the way of set-up but Lambretta owners have a habit of not leaving things alone... In the same way I'm tempted to try a 34mm Amal and a revvier (high BHP) expansion! Such is the fun of playing with new kits

out of interest, which of the four bikes in the group you rode with was the pace setter.
i find that my fuel ecconomy is largley dictated by the guy at the front.
on my TS1 i can easly get 30% more riding at my pace rather than some one elses even if its quicker.
with fuel cost and availability as it is, gearing to suit the pace of the group you ride with is well worth considering.
i just need to ride my Avanti with other bikes now to get a measure if its performance.
I rode with a well sorted ts1 and was well happy with how it compared but that was before i sorted a possible stator issue.
and just to echo what was said earlier, over taking is a dream "Twist and go" seems very appropriate.
I took my 13 stone son to the station the other day pulls well two up, well enough to still over take easy on A roads. so luggage should,nt be a problem. Bring on the Rallies.
P.s I,m running a siagon scooter taffy copy. a bit more revvy than expected so have dropped to 4.7, Iam 18 stone in leathers. but a very well made pipe for not alot of money.
P.P.s my running in will power went out the Window after 150 mile tops. 500 odd now.

^... ANSWER: None really it was more a case of being limited by the nature of the roads that we were on. 3 of the 4 bikes spent time at the front as pace setter so it was, like you say, normally a case of bikes at the front backing off a bit if we started to lose anyone. We had a standard P200 with SIP exhaust as the 4th bike and this was held flat out (and head down) for much of the ride, this and the roads set the overall journey pace.

wouldnt have enjoyed being on the P2 much. the worst thing is to be the slowest bike.

Especially being behind a lammy with a clubman, I followed a silver Series 2 over the Paddington flyover on Tuesday morning, feck it was noisey...quick though

Taking a mates to a dyno tomorrow to finalise the jetting now it is run in.He is well happy with it compared with the crap Rapido it replaced although he does say it struggles to pull Italian GP 200 with 20 x 47 in 4th,so we may drop to 19 front once jetting is sorted.

I thought everybody was going to be using TV200 boxes (or equivalent ratios) isn't that about 4.07 forth gear allowing you to cruise at 75mph at low revswack 63 wrote:Taking a mates to a dyno tomorrow to finalise the jetting now it is run in.He is well happy with it compared with the crap Rapido it replaced although he does say it struggles to pull Italian GP 200 with 20 x 47 in 4th,so we may drop to 19 front once jetting is sorted.
TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back
