The same scooter running in the Highlands of Scotland, the flat lands of Norfolk and city running in London would give three very different results in terms of MPG. Gearing and the exhaust being the main factors that could be changed to give a more level playing field.

If you've put 5 litres in from dry and you've got a fast flow tap with a reserve of 3 litres,your scooter is doing 50 miles per 5 litres (roughly 1 gallon).
