Thought the instructions were excessive.......until I realised 99% of the paperwork was catalogues of the new stocks MBD are doing.
I read the instructions and read them again to make sure, but the rest of you getting one shouldn't have a problem. It does make sense and isn't complicated at all.
I was easy to set up when I connected it to the battery (off the Lambretta)
I like the look and the fitting wasn't hard at all.
I received mine yesterday. I read the instructions and attached a battery as suggested to set it up.
The settings were easy to do i.e. tyre circumference, time, spark amount etc
However, when I waved the magnet in front of the sensor the mph doesn't change from 0.
Will this only work when wired correctly to the headset, I used a 9 volt battery for testing, this did light the speedo up but I'm wondering if it needs the 12v for the speedo bit to work correctly.
Has anyone tried this or can anyone try this, I don't want to put a faulty speedo in just to have to take it out again.
Has anyone got any pictures of the sensor connected on the front wheel with the magnet?
On further testing you need 12 volts for the speedo sensor to work, a 9v battery lights the speedo up but doesn't have enough oomph for the sensor to work.
Also the magnet's south pole has to face the sensor.
Still struggling to see how the bracket attaches without hitting the hub or getting the sensor close enough to a magnet glued on the hub.

The Bracket attaches to the Front wheel Spindle nut and sits inward towards the Hub like the vapor tech fixing , be careful that it clears your Valve when turning the wheel .
