i was just saying that if you make a statement like that you need to be the fastest under all circumstances. Rs won the shootout with fastest speed and the torque curve on some of their engines is mindblowing on a dyno, i'd just like people to be realistic.or proven in advance. my Rs tuned iron barrel had more power than a TS1, its an open field tuning with no fastest just fastest on the day. when the s**t comes down its no good saying ""i thought it was a flying start, i forgot my spare gearing, i couldnt get a jet size, i weigh more than him"", its fastest on the day and if youre going to say how good you are then you better not f@@k up, cus a donkey hee-haws the loudest next to a track. :fb:turbovan wrote:Is ralph saxelby doing a lambretta shoot out next year ?

And if you've got RS Tuning Conversions painted on the side of your bike you'd better not fu ck up, because it's Ralph (Hail Ralph) that looks like the cu nt for building a slow engine!alcoholic maniacs sc wrote: if youre going to say how good you are then you better not f@@k up, cus a donkey hee-haws the loudest next to a track. :fb:

my missus tells me my brain is in my bollox so i guess if my mind gets blown its my balls that will suffer! i know theres some fast guys out there and i wouldnt know good porting from a glass of good port but i do know the relationship between huge ports and torque at lower revs is bigger aint best, 100's of tuned feckin engines have taught me that 0 t0 60 is determined by how much torque you can develop at under 3000 revs not at 5000+. you can hide that with a variotronic but thats disguising your shortcomings behind steroids . i have an old 90's chisel speed engine in a GP i just bought, its a little 70mph jem, big bore +22mm Jetex, who knows what lurking under the cowling but its a little torqy jem, id bet that it'll hold its own on a very tight windy track too, when i find a super monza on a B road on the way to a rally we'll see what happens when the knees start to go down, til then my judgment is "nice looking barrel" well done and the best of luck with it!.OzOAP wrote:Dyno bolx??alcoholic maniacs sc wrote:torque curve on some of their engines is mindblowing on a dyno

Your not really talking from an impartial prospective though are you. Up until you said "my rs" it was interesting reading. Until they are tested together at the same time on the same track who can say. How did the RS do in the 6 hour enduro by the way.....alcoholic maniacs sc wrote:i was just saying that if you make a statement like that you need to be the fastest under all circumstances. the only way to get a large frame vespa down to knee slider level is to fall off and slide down the road with it!!!OzOAP wrote:When I see one I'll wave it passed, coz my shitty, slow old Vespas wont stand a chancealcoholic maniacs sc wrote:when i find a super monza on a B road on the way to a rally we'll see what happens when the knees start to go down, til then my judgment is "nice looking barrel" well done and the best of luck with it!.

its worth noting that there was 0.5 mph bettween Ryan saxelby ,tony o'brien and guy topper (in that order)...to be honest i only really paid attention to the grp4 ,5 and 6 scoots that were there ,but as far as i can recall the super monza pulled a very respectable time ,regarding the 6 hr guys engine i believe had to be changed due to crank but did get fastest lap and did Finnish on a spare motor ,both the super monza's did it from start to Finnish
