Hi Mark, I rang the shop where I was going to go for the inspection just to confirm the booking then they tell me they're going on holiday to the states for 3 weeks,'sorry about that'

It's a ScootRS mat, the only quarm I have with it is the footboard bits sometimes flap around,I'm thinking of maybe attaching some suction caps.

well i didn't really want to cut the frame up and i like the idea of doing something different.

You'll need an LI / SX horncast if you extend the legshields

i have thought about this and haven't decided what i wanted to do. i guess it was going to be up to how things matched up. but i guess there isn't really any difference looks wise between a gp horncast and an sx horncast is there? just length and price.

If you are worried about loosing the originality of the frame, you could always just keep the section you cut off so it can be reversed in the future.

Your plan to cut in a section to the leggies using a section from another set will cause you no end of grief. I doubt if there is a single consistent curve in them and getting an invisible result bearing in mind you need to make both sides perfect would challenge an expeience panel beater

well fair enough, i just want to do it on the cheap and i'm in no hurry, so i thought time would be needed to make this work. but maybe i'll have to think about doing it differently. wasn't sure how the horncast, headset and ring would line up and work either.

cut the frame,i know its a little drastic but makes life easier in the long run! plus you'll have a s**t load of indian gp parts at your dissposal.
